Digital contracts are a great success
Just to refresh your memory: in February an agreement was reached by unanimous vote within the National Labor Council. Among other things, the electronic signature of temporary employment contracts was arranged. This agreement also provides for the abolition of the 48-hour rule on 1 October 2016, which means that electronic contracts will be used more and more and that paper temporary employment contracts will eventually disappear.
The sectoral platform on which temporary workers can sign their contract is fully operational. From now on, they receive their agreements much faster and can easily sign them electronically from their smartphone, tablet or PC. On the platform, in their personal archive, they can also consult all their temporary employment contracts concluded with all recognised agencies for which they work or have worked.
The electronic signature of temporary agency work contracts is an important step towards digitalisation and a “win-win” for temporary workers and temporary employment agencies. The system saves costs and simplifies information processing. At the same time, there is much greater legal certainty.
At the end of October, more than three million contracts had already been signed electronically. As a pioneer in electronic applications and administrative simplification projects such as electronic invoicing, electronic meal vouchers and electronic eco vouchers, Federgon is pleased with this wonderful result.
